Certified Organic

There is always confusion between the terms Natural, Organic and Certified Organic.

"Natural"
This is not a regulated term.
Anyone can market their product as natural and never show proof.
There is no criteria for natural.

"Organic"
Is a labelling term that denotes products that have been produced in accordance with organic production standards.

"Certified Organic"
This is a Certification issued by an independent body approved by the World Organic organization IFOAM [International Federation of Organic Agriculture Movements].

All products with a certified organic certificate must have 95% organic products, the remaining 5% must be approved by the certifying organization.

Labelling is important and again is approved, the ingredients are listed in mass order, and full name given.

Beware of labels that say “made with organic ingredients” or “has organic ingredients” this could mean only 20%, what else is in the product?

McFarlane Certified Organic Marine Glycan products are certified with AgriQuality of NZ a member of IFOAM.
